On the third day of the Access2Europe Discovery Tour, which started on September 5th, our guests started their day with a visit at Pier01, the biggest entity of the startup ecosystem in Barcelona. Within the project Access2Europe, which is awarded with funding by Horizon 2020 from the European Commission, we hosted 16 European startups from over 12 countries. The goal of the project is to support startups scaling up their businesses throughout Europe.

During a visiting tour at Pier01, our startups met different companies, which successfully established their businesses within the Spanish market. Thanks to Byhours, CapitalCell, and CaelumLabs, our startups got some fresh ideas and inspiration for their plans of expanding to Spain.

Following the visiting tour, the group visited the offices of Holaluz, a former startup which very successfully established itself within the European market. Also here, our startups had the opportunity to discuss their challenges and got exclusive insides from Oriol Vila, the CEO of Holaluz.

Ending three intense days with keynotes, workshops, networking events and meetings, we invited our startups to the last lunch to reflect on learnings and experiences. We were happy to welcome special guests, like Josep-Miquel Torregosa from Innoengery, Oriol Vila from Holaluz or Núria Martí from Biocat.

We want to thank all speakers and guests for giving our European startups the opportunity to get first-hand insights into the Barcelona ecosystem and the Spanish market.
