Team members of Incubio and Inspirit launch Peninsula to help corporates to manage open innovation

The initiative is aimed to provide large firms and public agencies, Corporate Venturing programs that encourage open innovation, based on a unique background at the national level, given the experience of the promoting team in startups, corporations and investment.

Incubio, based in Barcelona and created in 2011, supports the creation and development of startups and facilitates SMEs access to Big Data through the services they provided to startups incubated, helping thus to optimize business processes.

During these 7 years of activity, Incubio has helped create more than 260 Startups, applying a comprehensive owned methodology to validate business models, facilitating that disruptive projects to access global markets.

This initial Big Data oriented model evolved in recent years to the implementation of specialized corporate programs in different fields. Sity, carried out to Aigües de Barcelona, GameBCN, promoted by Barcelona City Council & Generalitat, Reimagine Drone, StartingLab, or BTV Media Lab, are examples of vertical programs managed for corporations.

Inspirit, is a group of companies comprises technology based companies with a clear innovative profile operating in different sectors (Online Marketing, Security, Software Engineering, E-commerce). Over the past 5 years Inspirit has focused on accelerating startups, where Safe365 or management Acceleration Program BStartup Examples of this model.

Teams Inspirit and Incubio have created a total of 46 companies, analyzed more than 3,500 startups, invested in 50 third party startups and created more than 500 jobs and € 125MM billing.

The team of members of Inspirit and Incubio, join now in Peninsula with the aim of making available a single corporate background, senior profiles with proven experience both startups and creating Corporate and investment. Its value proposition lies in providing Startup Knowledge. Both corporations have their own innovation department, helping to accelerate innovative processes, and for those who do not have a specific computer and choose to externalize, thus becoming Peninsula in its extension for innovation.

Alberto Ordieres as COO will be contributing its experience of over 15 years as senior consultant T-Systems. The team is complemented with Lourdes Panizo as CFO, with extensive financial management experience in startups and Isabel Vázquez as Head of Operations, who has coordinated the process of creating more than 30 startups and has extensive experience in analyzing and managing deal flow.
